Botulinum toxin was first adapted to treat medical conditions, but today is best known for its cosmetic use. The formulation of botulinum toxin of choice at the Skin Centre is Dysport, it is the purified type A and it is Dysports different manufacturing methods that determine its different dose strengths.

Dysport works by relaxing wrinkle causing muscles such as frown lines and crows feet. They do not “freeze” your facial expressions rather they soften them.

Tiny amounts are injected into the muscle affecting these facial lines. Within days the muscle relaxes. Your frown lines and crows feet flatten and look smoother. The effect of this treatment will continue with further treatments 2 or 3 times a year. No time off is required.
