Serious Action for Acne – is carefully formulated with proven, multi-active, acne-fighting components. The products contain:

• Benzoyl Peroxide – recognized by the American Academy of Dermatology as one of the most effective topical treatments for acne. It releases a reactive form of oxygen that kills bacteria in pores, reducing oils and fatty acids in the skin and helping loosen and shed debris that blocks pores.
• Salicylic Acid – a Beta Hydroxy Acid with a long dermatologic history has been found to oxygenate and detoxify skin. It helps break the bonds that glue worn-out cells to the skin’s surface. It assists the penetration of other topical acne agents and is a highly effective exfoliator.
• Alpha Hydroxy Acids – AHA's help remove excess build up of dead cells in pores, eliminate oil blockage and enhance absorption of topical treatments. AHA's encourage new cell growth and can lighten dark spots associated with acne scarring.
• Resorcinol – an antiseptic, astringent and anti-bacterial agent that helps slow oil absorption to promote faster healing.
• Sulfur – excellent for controlling bacteria and as a peeling agent it boosts the effectiveness of other acne treatments and works particularly well when combined with Benzoyl Peroxide.

Tea Tree Extract – drawn from the leaves of the Australian Melaleuca Alternifolia tree, Tee Tree assists in the healing of active acne while reducing inflammation and eliminating blemish redness.
