I was a long-standing patient of Dr Paul Salmon – one of his first in Mt Maunganui 12 years ago.
Being a farmer's wife from the Waikato, I had seen way too much sun in my 72 years of life and had severe sun damage.
I am a woman who takes great pride in her appearance and did not like what was happening to my skin, despite spending large amounts of money on expensive creams!
Dr Paul had always been so caring to me. When he recommended a Full Face Laser to lessen the chances of skin cancers in the future (I had already had two Basal Cell cancers removed), I followed his recommendation.
The procedure was easy enough to go through.
Dr Salmon and his staff ensured my comfort through out the procedure, which I was awake for the entire time.
There were times when I felt some bites of pain but it was nothing I couldn't tolerate.
My recovery period after the procedure was very good.
Initially I had a big dressing in place which concerned my husband more than me, as although I looked as if I should be sore, I had no pain what so ever.
I was fully healed and back into my social life with makeup on, in three weeks.
I felt just super after the procedure. I received lots of compliments about my skin and my skin actually looked a lot younger.
I felt great – much more confident as the added bonus to the procedure is it reduced the wrinkles as well as removing the sun damaged ugly skin!

I always wanted nicer skin because I had lots of freckles and the mask of pregnancy. I wanted a more even skin tone.
I was nervous before the procedure as I realised the down time involved of 10 days was going to be a management issue for me – especially as privacy was imperative.
The procedure? Honestly I thought was just so simple – it didn't hurt at all.
Obviously I had had a little medication beforehand – two little white tablets, which made me feel very relaxed.
The initial 2-3 weeks went very quickly. Day by day I could see the improvement
By 10 days I could introduce my makeup – just heaven.
My family was amazed.
I had no expectation to get rid of the wrinkles but in fact I have.
The comments I get range from: "have you had a facelift" to "you are looking so much younger – what have you done?"
The positive reinforcement from the nursing staff and Dr Paul Salmon is actually what kept me going and my spirit lifted. I found the whole procedure very professional and caring with attention to detail.

Moana aged 47
I noticed I had a lot of sun damage. I had just retrained as a beauty therapist and my husband and I run a health spa. I realised my skin did not look good and therefore I did not reflect the picture of health I wished to portray to my prospective clients.
My wedding date was approaching and I wanted to look very special on that day.
The procedure for me was quite dramatic. I was quite shocked when the bandages came off – my face really looked quite different – it was a little pink and swollen.
I felt minimal discomfort – but the Panadiene controlled it.
My full face laser was done totally under Emla which is a cream topical anaesthetic. I understand Dr Salmon now uses tumescent (infiltrated local anaesthetic) also. This would have eased any discomfort.
My skin had completely healed within 10 days. The pinkness took a little longer to fade. I am absolutely thrilled with the result.
People thought I looked a lot younger and my skin has certainly improved –I say it is due to drinking lots of water and taking the supplements I sell!
But really it is Dr Paul Salmon's expertise that created a lovely natural result.
Dr Salmon was excellent throughout and his staff exceptional.
I also had a blepharoplasty as people kept saying I looked tired.
The blepharoplasty was absolutely brilliant – very little pain. I would do it all again – I look 10 years younger and people keep saying I look healthy!
