The Skin Centre is situated in Tauranga, a city built on the edge of a beautiful natural harbour in the lush eastern coast of the Bay of Plenty , North Island , New Zealand .

Its magnificent Mt Maunganui and Papamoa beaches make it a desirable holiday destination and its close proximity to the Rotorua Lakes and tourism area, and the Taupo ski fields put it in easy reach for day excursions.

Visitors can choose to fly directly to Tauranga Domestic Airport or enjoy a relaxed 2½ hours drive from Auckland International Airport or 1½ hours drive from Hamilton International Airport – (for Australian travellers only).

The Bay of Plenty is the Kiwifruit growing centre of New Zealand due to its temperate climate and sufficient rain fall. The warmest months are January and February however the autumn weather of March through to May delights with still, warm, sunny days and cool nights.

Tourist activities abound in the area. From sailing, deep sea fishing and diving, jet boat rides, white water rafting to bush tramps, horse treks and hunting expeditions. Or why not take a scenic flight in a Cessna, glider, helicopter or tandem sky dive.

There are several golf courses, gymnasiums, outdoor bowling greens and hot pools for all year round swimming.

An annual Garden Art Festival opens the extravagantly beautiful, privately owned gardens of the surrounding district for all to enjoy.

The annual Easter Jazz Festival draws international artists and visitors alike as does the biannual Arts Festival.

Quality accommodation is plentiful with a choice of beach front apartments and motels or city hotels and home stays. There are also backpacker’s hostels for the budget minded.
